Lise Mogensen

Lise Mogensen is an interdisciplinary researcher at the Crawford School of Public Policy. Lise holds a PhD from the Social Justice and Social Change Research Centre at the University of Western Sydney and a BAppSc in Occupational Therapy (honours class one).

Lise has experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods within both social science and health science paradigms.  She has undertaken research with a range of participants, including children and vulnerable groups.

Lise’s research interests and experiences include:

  • The experiences, rights and social inclusion of children and young people.
  • Policies and educational issues affecting children and young people.
  • Social issues affecting children and young people living with impairment and disability.
  • Social approaches to researching disability and mental health.
  • Innovative, participatory research methods for including children and young people living with learning difficulties and mental illness.
  • Inter-disciplinary and collaborative research methods.

Lise also has an interest in professional practice development in allied health. She has been involved in development of measurement and evaluation instruments in clinical and educational settings. Lise teaches professional practice, research methods and evidence based practice in the interdisciplinary health sciences at the University of Western Sydney.
